What is Timedle?
Timedle is a history-game hub, not a single grid. From the homepage you pick a mode: Yeardle (clue, type a year, higher-or-lower, eight tries), Chrono (six events, drag earliest to latest, green/red slots, five checks), Historle (three images sharing a year), or Whodle (famous person via occupation, birthplace, birth year). Practice exists beside some dailies.
It is not Timdle’s eight sequential bounce cards, not TimeGuessr’s Street View, not TimeLine’s five-event Check Order, not Timeswipe’s ten before/after swipes, and not Timingle’s millisecond tap. Timedle is a menu of date and people puzzles.
Timedle Game Rules
Rules are mode-locked. Yeardle wants the exact year; direction feedback shrinks the calendar. Chrono greens lock exact positions; reds must move before the next submit. Historle ties pictures to one connecting year. Whodle compares attributes like a person Wordle. There is no universal Timedle color row. Choose the battlefield first.
- Pick a Timedle mode before you play; each has its own win condition.
- Yeardle: eight year guesses with higher-or-lower.
- Chrono: order six events with colored slots and a check budget.
- Historle and Whodle use images or person attributes instead.
How to play Timedle?
Press Play on this listing to open official Timedle. Choose Yeardle or another mode on purpose; do not assume you are in Timdle or TimeLine.
- Open Timedle and select a mode from the history menu.
- For Yeardle, read the event and enter a year, then follow higher/lower.
- For Chrono, drag six cards, submit, and only shuffle red positions.
- Finish that mode’s daily, then optionally switch to another Timedle game.
Timedle Strategy & Tips
Era before exact year: fashion, tech, and conflict fence the century. In Yeardle, treat each miss as a bound and bisect. In Chrono, lock greens and spend checks when few swaps remain. Whodle: occupation and birth year delete continents of names. Do not import TimeGuessr photo-reading or Timeswipe swipe habits into the wrong mode.
- Name the Timedle mode you are in before you guess.
- Use year bounds in Yeardle; use green locks in Chrono.
- Leave Timdle, TimeLine, and TimeGuessr to their own listings.
