What is Noriento?
Noriento is a ten-second compass duel with true north. You open it on a phone, point the device where you think north is, lock, and read your error in degrees. No map, no street overlay, no copyable needle. The score is a single number: how far your body was from the planet’s axis.
It is not Neighborle or Globle. Those are atlas puzzles in a browser. Noriento uses the phone’s orientation sensors. One committed daily attempt is the ritual; spinning in place after you already decided usually makes the error worse, not better.
Noriento Game Rules
Point toward true north and tap to lock. The game reports the angular miss. Smaller is better. There is no second calibrated shot for the daily once you commit. Landmarks are things you actually see outside the screen, not clues drawn in the UI. Desktop play without sensors misses the point. Come back tomorrow for another reading.
- Aim your phone at true north and lock the Noriento guess.
- Result is error in degrees; lower is closer.
- One serious daily attempt; no map or on-screen compass to copy.
- A new north challenge appears each day.

Noriento Strategy & Tips
Pause two seconds. Sun angle, grid of streets, and the way you usually walk out the door are better than a slow 360° spin. Do not assume the road in front of you is east–west. After the reveal, ask why you missed: solar time, a diagonal avenue, or confusing magnetic habits. Treat 18° as a lesson, not a personality. The planet does not grade Wordle tiles here.
- Gather outdoor cues before you lock Noriento.
- Commit instead of fidgeting the last few degrees away.
- Use each degree error as feedback for tomorrow’s stance.
