What is Mathler?

Mathler is a daily equation hunt. You already know the target number; you must type the exact hidden expression that evaluates to it. Digits and the four operators sit in a Wordle-style row. Green is right symbol in the right slot, yellow is present but misplaced, gray is unused.

Every Mathler guess must equal the target. You cannot probe with a random line that fails the arithmetic. You are solving structure and value at the same time.

Mathler Game Rules

A new target appears each day. Submit a legal equation using 0–9 and +, −, ×, ÷. Order of operations applies. Feedback colors each character independently. Keep submitting valid equations until the whole line is green. A line that does not equal the target is rejected, so Mathler blocks the usual “throw letters to see colors” habit from word games.

  • Find Mathler’s hidden equation that equals the posted target.
  • Green locks a digit or operator in place; yellow means relocate it; gray drops it.
  • Every submitted line must evaluate to the target.
  • A new Mathler equation appears daily.

How to play Mathler?

Press Play on this listing to open official Mathler. Read the target, write one legal equation that hits it, then rebuild from the colors instead of switching to a totally new arithmetic story.

  1. Note Mathler’s target and pick a simple legal expression that equals it.
  2. Read greens as locked slots and yellows as symbols that still belong.
  3. Change structure (multiply versus add) only when grays kill the current shape.
  4. Resubmit until every Mathler character is green.

Mathler Strategy & Tips

Think in skeletons first: a×b, a+b, or a mix with grouping if the board allows it. Flexible small factors (2, 3, 4, 6) combine well. Track operator positions as carefully as digits; a yellow plus in the wrong slot still belongs. If two greens sandwich a gray, the middle is a different operator, not a different target.

  • Keep every Mathler probe equal to the target.
  • Treat operators as first-class tiles, not decoration.
  • Permute yellows before abandoning a working magnitude.

FAQ about Mathler

What is Mathler?

Mathler is a daily math puzzle: you guess the hidden equation that equals a given target, using colored feedback on digits and operators.

How do you play Mathler?

Open official Mathler, enter equations that equal the target, and use green, yellow, and gray marks to rebuild the exact line.

Can I guess an equation that does not equal the target?

No. Mathler only accepts valid equations that evaluate to the posted number, so you cannot probe with illegal arithmetic.
