What is SortWise?
SortWise is a daily timeline puzzle. You receive six cards and place them one at a time into chronological order. A blue card is the one waiting; gray cards are already on the line. A correct drop turns green and earns a star. A wrong gap turns red and earns none. Three stars win the day—you do not need a perfect six.
The skill is relative order, not reciting exact years. Two twentieth-century events can still sit on the wrong side of each other. It is compact trivia with commitment: you cannot freely reshuffle the whole stack at the end.
SortWise Game Rules
Six cards complete the round. Drag the current blue card into a gap from earliest to latest. Green is a star; red is a miss. Gray anchors stay put and do not appear on some share cards. You must collect at least three stars. A new sequence arrives daily. Knowing “both are modern” is not enough if you pick the wrong side of an existing card.
- Place six cards in chronological order in SortWise.
- Each drop is judged immediately: green earns a star, red does not.
- Three stars are enough to win; a perfect run is not required.
- A new timeline appears each day.
How to play SortWise?
Press Play on this listing to open official SortWise. Compare the blue card with the nearest gray anchors, then drop it before, between, or after them.
- Read the existing SortWise timeline and the waiting blue card.
- Drop it in the gap that matches earliest-to-latest order.
- If you get red, keep going; you still need three greens.
- Finish all six cards and confirm you have at least three stars.
SortWise Strategy & Tips
You rarely need the exact year. Decide before, between, or after the visible events. Inventions need prior technology; sequels and treaties follow causes. After one red, do not tilt—three stars still win. Sort into eras first (ancient, medieval, industrial, twentieth century, digital), then compare with the closest neighbor on the line.
- Judge SortWise cards against nearby anchors, not isolated dates.
- Use cause-and-effect: tools exist before the events that need them.
- Recover after a red; three stars are the win condition.
