What is Daydle?
Daydle is a daily history year hunt. You get an event that happened on today’s month and day, then six tries to name the four-digit year. Feedback is per digit: green is exact, blue is usually one away, red is wrong, white is still unconfirmed. It is not a simple earlier/later slider.
Famous dates and obscure ones both appear. Digit colors can save you when the century is a fog.
Daydle Game Rules
One event tied to the current calendar date. Enter a four-digit year. Six attempts. Colors grade each digit, not the whole year as “too late.” Share after you solve or fill the board. A new event daily.
- Guess the year of today’s Daydle historical event in six tries.
- Submit four digits; colors mark each place.
- Green is exact; blue is typically one off; red is wrong.
- A new same-date event publishes each day.
How to play Daydle?
Press Play on this listing to open official Daydle. Place the clue on a timeline (war, tech, sports era), then treat remaining digits like a number Wordle.
- Read the Daydle event text for era clues.
- Enter a four-digit year.
- Lock green digits and nudge blues by one.
- Use remaining guesses until the year matches.
Daydle Strategy & Tips
Century first from the topic, then decade. Blue on a 9 often means 8 or 0, not 5. Do not ignore a red thousands digit. White means you still lack a lock—do not assume that place is “close.” Share grids compare digit skill, not trivia flex.
- Bracket Daydle by historical era before fine digits.
- Treat blue as adjacent, not as a random miss.
- Fix the thousands and hundreds places early.
