What is Centroid?

Centroid is a daily visual estimation game. Each round scatters geometric shapes in a square. You click where the combined center of mass should sit—the balance point of the whole set, not the middle of the frame. Three rounds: Easy (3–4 shapes), Medium (5–6), Hard (7–8). One confirmed guess per round.

Large pieces outweigh tiny ones. A lone shape far from the cluster pulls the answer off the obvious huddle. Scores are up to 10 per round, 30 total, comparable globally.

Centroid Game Rules

Place a marker, then confirm. That round locks. Accuracy versus the true centroid becomes points out of 10. Sum the three rounds for a score out of 30. The play-area border has no mass; only the drawn shapes count. There is no second click after confirm.

  • Three daily Centroid rounds: Easy, Medium, Hard.
  • One submitted guess per round; then the true center is shown.
  • Up to 10 points each, 30 total.
  • Mass comes from shape size and position, not from the square’s midpoint.

How to play Centroid?

Press Play on this listing to open official Centroid. Ignore the box edges. Weigh left versus right, then up versus down, and click the intersection. Confirm only when you have checked the big pieces.

  1. Count shapes and notice which ones are large or isolated.
  2. Estimate horizontal balance, then vertical, on the Centroid board.
  3. Click, adjust if the UI allows before confirm, then lock the guess.
  4. Read the true point and carry the size lesson into Medium and Hard.

Centroid Strategy & Tips

The frame is empty space. Mentally split the set on two axes and compare visual weight, not outline midpoints. A big polygon beats a tiny square. Distant outliers drag more than players expect. Pause before confirm; Centroid does not bill you for thinking, only for a bad lock-in.

  • Balance mass, not the geometric center of the square.
  • Give large shapes more pull than small ones.
  • Confirm once; there is no Centroid mulligan.
