What is Wend?

Wend is LinkedIn’s daily word-path puzzle. Letters sit on a grid with blocked cells. You connect adjacent letters, horizontally or vertically, not diagonally, to spell hidden words. Every open tile must be used exactly once. Words cannot share letters. The UI shows how many words you need and their lengths, not the answers.

It plays like a word search crossed with a packing maze. An obvious word can steal a letter another path requires and strand a singleton. The correct set is the one that covers the whole board, not the first valid English word you notice.

Wend Game Rules

Trace a path through orthogonally adjacent letters. Blocked tiles are walls. Each open letter belongs to exactly one word. Overlap is illegal. Length clues tell you the partition. If leftover tiles cannot form the remaining lengths, undo the greedy first word. Wend is solved when every open cell sits on one of the hidden paths.

  • Find Wend’s hidden words by connecting adjacent letters.
  • Moves are horizontal or vertical; no diagonals in the standard rules.
  • Every open letter is used exactly once; words do not overlap.
  • Word lengths are given; the specific words are not.

How to play Wend?

Press Play on this listing to open official Wend. Read the length list, test a path, then check whether the leftover tiles can still form the other lengths before you commit.

  1. Note Wend’s word-count and length clues.
  2. Trace a candidate word along orthogonal neighbors.
  3. If leftovers cannot match remaining lengths, undo and try another path.
  4. Continue until every open tile belongs to exactly one word.

Wend Strategy & Tips

Long words often dictate the board’s spine; short words flex around walls. Corners have few exits, so they force starts or ends. Avoid creating islands. If a pretty word splits leftovers into two awkward pockets, it is probably wrong. Think like a maze: a legal English word that bricks the rest of the grid is a miss. Wend is coverage logic, not a vocabulary dump.

  • Let long Wend words set the skeleton of the grid.
  • Start forced paths at corners and walls.
  • Reject any word that strands a single unused tile.
