What is Squaredle?
Squaredle is a daily letter-grid hunt at squaredle.app: trace adjacent tiles—including diagonals—into as many hidden words as the board contains. You are not given a short target list to tick off. A counter knows how many words exist; it does not show them. Completionists chase 100%. The obvious CAT in the corner is bait; the rest of the hour is bent paths you missed.
Squaredle is not Squares (squares.org), which is a daily clear with target words plus bonuses. It is not Stacks (The Atlantic), where you drop supplied words to form new horizontals. Squaredle is find-as-many-as-exist in a dense square.
Squaredle Game Rules
Words form by linking neighboring letters. A single tile cannot be reused inside the same word. Minimum length is usually four letters. The grid is often larger than a glance suggests. Valid finds add to your list; the remaining count is the pressure. Straight lines are optional. The trap is stopping after the easy cluster while rare diagonals still sit unclaimed.
- Connect adjacent Squaredle letters, including diagonals.
- Do not reuse a tile inside one word.
- Meet the minimum length (typically four letters).
- Find as many of the hidden word total as you can.
How to play Squaredle?
Press Play on this listing to open official Squaredle. Sweep obvious stems, then restart from unused corners and diagonal snakes until the remaining count drops.
- Scan the Squaredle grid for a dense cluster or a clear stem.
- Trace a valid path and submit; extend it if a plural or longer form sits next door.
- Change start letters and include diagonals when straight words dry up.
- Revisit leftover tiles for the rare last words.
Squaredle Strategy & Tips
Work clusters, not the whole square at once. A found word often extends. Start from a different letter when you stall. Slow down: the hardest words are usually in plain sight on a bent path. Squaredle is spatial vocabulary, not a single secret answer.
- Mine dense Squaredle clusters for longer words first.
- Reuse a found path as a prefix for a longer word.
- Restart from neglected edge letters when you stall.
