What is Mazetangle?
Mazetangle is a daily rectangle-maze. You steer the red tile to the blue goal across white rectangles. The flex is not the shortest walk; it is the longest legal path. Some white tiles may be impossible to include, so filling the picture is not the scoring rule.
Movement looks free until you count neighbors. You may step left, right, up, or down only when the red tile touches exactly one rectangle on that side. Two neighbors along one edge block the move even if the shared length looks huge.
Mazetangle Game Rules
Start on red, finish on blue. Stretch the route through as many legal steps as you can before you enter the goal. A direct hop into blue is usually bait. Undo backs up one mistake; Reset clears a collapsed line. Mazetangle scores path length, not visual completeness.
- Move the red Mazetangle tile to blue along a legal path.
- A side is legal only if it touches exactly one neighboring rectangle.
- Longer routes beat short exits; unused tiles may be unreachable.
- Use Undo or Reset when a Mazetangle line dies early.
How to play Mazetangle?
Press Play on this listing to open official Mazetangle. Count how many rectangles touch each edge of red before you swipe. If blue is already legal, look for a detour first.
- Inspect each Mazetangle edge: one neighbor is a move, two is a wall.
- Take a legal opening that does not dump you into blue immediately.
- Thread extra white tiles while keeping one legal entry into the goal.
- Enter blue only after the long route is spent.
Mazetangle Strategy & Tips
Work backward from blue: which tiles can legally enter the goal, and can you save one of them for last? Count neighboring rectangles, not edge length. Tap red if the official Mazetangle client offers a move hint when geometry gets noisy. Accept that some tiles never join a valid path; judge by length, not by leftover white.
- Preserve a legal Mazetangle entry into blue for the end.
- Delay obvious exits; short paths are usually traps.
- Count neighbors, not how long a shared edge looks.
FAQ about Mazetangle
What is Mazetangle?
Mazetangle is a daily path puzzle: guide a red rectangle to a blue goal along the longest legal route, not the shortest.
How do you play Mazetangle?
Open official Mazetangle, move only onto a side that touches exactly one tile, and stretch the path before you enter blue.
Why can’t I move even though two tiles share a long edge?
Mazetangle blocks a direction when that side of red touches more than one rectangle. Neighbor count is the rule, not edge length.
