What is GoTdle?

GoTdle is a daily Game of Thrones exam on gotdle.com. It is not one Wordle grid. The hub splits into Classic (guess a hidden character from comparison clues), Quote (name who spoke the line), and Banner (read a house sigil). Faces, dialogue, and heraldry are three different memories; a Stark expert can still miss a throwaway quote.

You play Westeros trivia, not spelling. GoTdle is TV-shelf deduction: houses, roles, and alliances as filters, not green tiles.

GoTdle Game Rules

Pick a mode. Classic: submit a character; the game compares traits (house, role, status) so misses shrink the suspect list. Quote: match the speaker to the line on screen. Banner: name the house for the sigil shown. Each mode has its own daily prompt. Knowing faces does not auto-clear quotes or banners. The trap is treating one famous name as a pass for the whole realm.

  • Classic GoTdle: identify the mystery character from clue comparisons.
  • Quote mode: name who said the displayed line.
  • Banner mode: match the sigil to the house.
  • Modes are separate dailies; one skill does not finish the others.

How to play GoTdle?

Press Play on this listing to open official GoTdle. Choose Classic, Quote, or Banner, then spend the first guess as a filter (great house, screen role) instead of a random fan favorite.

  1. Open GoTdle and pick Classic, Quote, or Banner for today.
  2. In Classic, guess a well-mapped character and read the comparison clues.
  3. Drop houses, living/dead status, or story roles that the clues reject.
  4. In Quote or Banner, answer the line or sigil directly; do not import Classic habits.

GoTdle Strategy & Tips

Start Classic with a major house so the first miss still teaches region and allegiance. Track Stark, Lannister, Targaryen, Baratheon, Greyjoy, Tyrell, and Martell as buckets, not as trivia flashcards. Quote mode is voice and scene, not family trees. Banner mode is pure sigil memory: direwolf versus lion versus kraken with no portrait to rescue you. Play all three if you want the full GoTdle board, not a single lucky character.

  • Use famous GoTdle characters as comparison probes, not as lottery tickets.
  • Treat Quote and Banner as different exams from Classic.
  • Eliminate whole houses when a clue contradicts them.
