What is Footdle?
Footdle is a daily footballer hunt built as a comparison table, not a letter grid. You name a real player; the row scores attributes such as position, club, league, and nationality in green or red. Classic mode gives you twelve guesses. Footdle is not Football Wordle (surname tiles) and not Foodle (food words).
One green column is not a solve. Plenty of strikers share a league or a passport. You read the whole row, then pick the next scout from the remaining pool. Extra modes such as icons, face merges, and through-the-years cards sit beside Classic.
Footdle Game Rules
Type a player who exists in the database. Footdle fills a row: position, club, league, nationality, and related fields. Green means that field matches the mystery footballer exactly. Red means it does not. You cannot repeat a name. Fewer guesses is the better Classic score. Transfers matter: yesterday’s club can be today’s trap.
- Guess real footballers; Footdle compares them column by column.
- Green is an exact attribute match; red is a miss on that field.
- Classic Footdle allows twelve attempts and blocks duplicate names.
- Other daily modes use icons, merged faces, and historical cards.
How to play Footdle?
Press Play on this listing to open official Footdle. Start Classic with a well-known player whose attributes you can read, then use greens as filters and reds as eliminations.
- Submit a big-five-league name to light the first Footdle row.
- Keep matching position, league, and nationality; leave a red club behind.
- Guess a second player who tests the unresolved columns together.
- Name the footballer who turns every Classic column green.
Footdle Strategy & Tips
Open Footdle with a superstar whose league and role you know cold so the first row is readable. League plus nationality greens cut the pool faster than chasing a favorite club. When position and league match but club is red, list rivals and teammates before you spend late guesses. Track recent transfers; the database updates.
- Use an informative first Footdle guess, not a lucky long shot.
- Filter the roster by green league and nationality before club.
- Save the last names until the attribute profile is almost locked.
